Adult Basic Education

Literacy, GED, Improve Skills
Welcome to Adult Education!  The staff here are dedicated to helping you become successful. We have literacy classes in the afternoon and two levels of GED classes that take place both morning and evening.  Class placement is based on your reading ability.  In addition, the teachers will set up an individualized program to meet your needs so that you are working on what you need to learn. We want to help you reach your goals.

To enroll in adult classes, you must be 16 years old and cannot be enrolled in high school. You can enroll by calling 371-5019 during school hours to set up placement testing and an orientation. This is a year-round program.

Basic Literacy is offered for students who are at least 16 years old and have withdrawn from school. Students in this program work to improve basic skills in reading and math. The goal is to move them into the GED program. Students will also work on vocational goals trough a joint agreement with Department of Workforce Development (DWD).

GED is offered for students who are at least 16 years old and have withdrawn from school. This program is geared towards improving knowledge in math, social studies, science, reading and writing. Students work toward earning their GED as well as vocational goals through a joint agreement with Department of Workforce Development (DWD).
